Back in action

Hello everyone - we are back in action - here is a quick summary of the last several hundred months!! I promise to keep more up todate from here on out.

January - just after our last post Connor broke his arm. It wasn't a little break but a nice big one. Basically a stair step break on his right arm (yes, his throwing arm). He had surgery, pins and a nice long recovery. He was a big trooper and held up really well. Megan continued with her ballet and pitching and entertained her brother during his recovery.

February - Valentines day - Connor has his pins pulled. There was lots of excitement in our house that day! David and I celebrated our 15th anniversary and he wrecked my van! He was fine but my baby had to go to the big auto parts wholesaler in the sky. Megan continues her activies and loves school.

March - We got a new to us vehicle - 2001 Toyota Sequoia - it's a great car and I love driving it. It has every whistle and bell - the kids love the built in dvd player the most. Megan was asked to play on an ASA softball team, the West Coast Sluggers. Connor was having fun in physical therapy.

April - I survived my first official tax season at Dahlen & Boschma - that was an accomplishment. Meggie had her first tournament and Connor continued his recovery.

May - Busy month - Megan played Little League and travel ball (never again). She also had a bigger part in the annual ballet recital so had a lot more rehersal to prepare for the big show in June. Connor slowly started playing baseball and is coming around - still doing pt and making an amazing recovery. At one point we were talking functioning arm and now he is throwing the ball around.

June - Megan tries out for Little League All Stars 9-10 SB and makes the team! David is helping Coach her team. We went to Hood River for Districts and ended up coming home undefeated!! We are going to State! Connor plays more baseball and continues to improve.

July - Megan's team plays at State and ended up WINNING!! That was so exciting (the best summer of her life)! She pitched in the championship game and didn't allow a single run to score on her. It was neat to see Connor supporting her and being a great brother. Connor got to play in a couple of tournaments, one in Lynden WA and the other in Roseburg. He's baaaaack!! With a lot of hard work Connor has managed to come back stronger than ever.

August - Spent a week in Southern California at CCYB in Anaheim. Connor has played baseball the last four years in this tournament. The team didn't do very good but we still had a blast. Went down with our good friends the Hanks and couldn't have asked to have more fun.

We are wrapping up our summer with a baseball tournament (surprise) this weekend. Megan also had a tournament and has a big party with her little league team coming up.

Fall looks to be just as busy. We are having so much fun enjoying our kids and watching them grow into the great people they are becoming. I can't believe Connor will be in 8th and Megan 5th this year!!

Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing!!
